Trường Đại học Y Dược Cần Thơ tổ chức thành công Hội thảo quốc tế về AI và Tài nguyên Giáo dục Mở/CTUMP Successfully Hosts International Workshop on AI and Open Educational Resources (OER)

Chiều ngày 08/11/2025, Hội thảo khoa học cấp Trường với chủ đề “Supercharging open education resources (OER) development with artificial intelligence (AI) in health professions education” đã diễn ra tại Trường Đại học Y Dược Cần Thơ khẳng định cam kết của CTUMP trong việc hội nhập công nghệ và đổi mới giáo dục y học.

Sự kiện đã diễn ra dưới sự chỉ đạo của GS. TS. Nguyễn Trung Kiên, Hiệu trưởng Nhà trường, và PGS. TS Lê Văn Minh, Trưởng khoa Y. Tham dự Hội thảo là các khách mời từ Ban Giám hiệu, Ban Chủ nhiệm các Khoa, cùng với 200 Hội thảo viên là cán bộ, học viên sau đại học và sinh viên thuộc Khoa Y.

Phát biểu Khai mạc, PGS.TS Lê Văn Minh, Trưởng Khoa Y, đã nhấn mạnh ý nghĩa thời sự của việc ứng dụng Trí tuệ nhân tạo. Bài phát biểu đã khẳng định: Việc phát triển tài nguyên giáo dục mở (OER) kết hợp AI không chỉ là xu thế toàn cầu mà còn là giải pháp then chốt giúp CTUMP tối ưu hóa nguồn lực, nâng cao tính sáng tạo và trách nhiệm trong quá trình thiết kế, chia sẻ học liệu cho người học, đáp ứng chuẩn mực quốc tế.

Diễn giả quốc tế chia sẻ kinh nghiệm ứng dụng AI

Hội thảo ghi nhận sự tham gia của các chuyên gia quốc tế và trong nước uy tín. Các báo cáo viên đã trình bày và dẫn dắt các phiên làm việc chuyên sâu, bao gồm:

• PGS. Lê Tuấn Tảo, MHS, Giám đốc Giáo dục ScholarRx, Phó Giáo sư Lâm sàng Đại học Louisville (Hoa Kỳ).
• TS. Nguyễn Minh Hoàng, MPH, PhD, chuyên gia từ Trung tâm Y tế Beth Israel Deaconess, Chương trình HAIVN (Hoa Kỳ).
• ThS. BS. Phạm Xuân Trường, MPH, Giảng viên Trường Đại học Y Dược Thái Bình (Việt Nam).

Ngay sau phần Tổng quan về khái niệm OER và AI, các đại biểu đã bước vào phiên Thảo luận nhóm nhỏ (Breakout 1) để phân tích cơ hội và thách thức của việc áp dụng OER kết hợp AI tại cơ sở đào tạo của mình.

Tiếp theo, báo cáo viên đã giới thiệu các Công cụ OER miễn phí và chi phí thấp, bao gồm các công cụ AI tạo sinh, nhằm phục vụ trực tiếp cho việc phát triển học liệu. Hoạt động quan trọng nhất là phiên Thực hành nhóm nhỏ (Breakout 2). Các nhóm đã tích cực làm việc để thiết kế một chương trình OER hoàn chỉnh với kế hoạch phát triển và phổ biến, sử dụng hiệu quả công cụ OER và AI.

Hội thảo thu hút nhiều hội thảo tham gia học tập và trao đổi và chia sẽ kinh nghiệm

Hội thảo đã kết thúc thành công tốt đẹp với phiên Hỏi đáp mở, tạo điều kiện cho người tham dự giải đáp thắc mắc, chia sẻ kinh nghiệm thực tế và thảo luận về các hướng áp dụng trong công tác giảng dạy sau này. Sự kiện đã đạt được mục tiêu đề ra là nâng cao kiên thức và kỹ năng thực hành, qua đó thúc đẩy phong trào ứng dụng công nghệ để phát triển tài nguyên giáo dục chất lượng cao, có trách nhiệm.

CTUMP Successfully Hosts International Workshop on AI and Open Educational Resources (OER)

The Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) successfully organized a School-level international scientific workshop on the theme "Supercharging open education resources (OER) development with artificial intelligence (AI) in health professions education" on the afternoon of Saturday, November 8, 2025. The workshop provided practical knowledge and skills in applying AI to the design and sharing of medical learning materials, contributing to improved training quality and promoting international cooperation.

The School-level scientific workshop, titled "Supercharging open education resources (OER) development with artificial intelligence (AI) in health professions education," took place on the afternoon of November 8, 2025, at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The event reaffirmed CTUMP’s commitment to embracing technology integration and innovation in medical education.

The event was held under the direction of Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Trung Kiên, Rector of the University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Văn Minh, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. Attendees included guests from the Board of Directors, Deans of various Faculties, along with 200 workshop participants comprising staff, postgraduate students, and students from the Faculty of Medicine.

In his Opening Remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Văn Minh, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, highlighted the topical significance of applying Artificial Intelligence. He affirmed that: The development of Open Educational Resources (OER) combined with AI is not only a global trend but also a key solution to help CTUMP optimize resources, enhance creativity, and ensure responsibility in designing and sharing learning materials for students, thus meeting international standards.

International Speakers Share Experience in AI Applications

The workshop featured the participation of renowned international and domestic experts. The speakers presented and facilitated in-depth working sessions, including:

• Assoc. Prof. Tuấn Tảo Lê, MHS, Education Director at ScholarRx, and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Louisville (USA).
• Dr. Nguyễn Minh Hoàng, MPH, PhD, Expert from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, HAIVN Program (USA).
• M.D. Phạm Xuân Trường, MPH, Lecturer at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Vietnam).

Immediately following the Overview of OER and AI concepts, delegates participated in a Small Group Discussion (Breakout 1) to analyze the opportunities and challenges of applying AI-integrated OER at their respective training institutions.

Subsequently, the speakers introduced Free and low-cost OER Tools, including generative AI tools, aimed at directly supporting learning material development. The most important activity was the Small Group Practice Session (Breakout 2). Groups actively worked to design a complete OER program with development and dissemination plans, effectively utilizing OER and AI tools.

The workshop attracted many participants for learning, exchange, and sharing experiences.

The workshop concluded successfully with an Open Q&A session, allowing attendees to address queries, share practical experiences, and discuss future application directions in teaching. The event achieved its stated objective of enhancing practical knowledge and skills, thereby promoting the use of technology for the development of high-quality, responsible educational resources.
