On October 14, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy organized an English-language thematic seminar entitled “Mental Health and Cultural Adjustment for Indian Students in Vietnam.”
The program was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Thu Trâm – Head of the Faculty of Basic Sciences; Dr. Trần Thị Hồng Lê – Vice Head of the Faculty of Basic Sciences; Dr. Ngô Phương Thảo – Head of the Office of Student Affairs; and M.Sc. Trần Thị Bích Phương – Deputy Chief of the Office, along with faculty members and a large number of Indian students currently studying at the University.

The seminar aimed to raise awareness of the importance of mental health in a multicultural academic environment, while supporting Indian students in better adapting to life in Vietnam—from customs and lifestyle to communication and learning styles.
The program also created a space for students to interact, share experiences, express their feelings, and receive practical advice from international mental health experts.
The thematic session was presented by Professor Soma Ganesan, a behavioral psychology expert from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada.
