I. Introduction

The Faculty of Basic Sciences was established based on Decision No. 2747/QD-BYT dated July 24, 2007 of the Ministry of Health. The faculty is responsible for providing courses of basic sciences for all undergraduate programs and and some postgraduate ones. Also, it has mission in doing scientific research and community service.

The Faculty has 36 staff members, including 02 Associate professors and 06 doctors, 02 PhD candidates, 21 masters, 2 senior lecturers, and 3 principal lecturers.

The Faculty of Basic Sciences participates in training 10 undergraduate programs of health science.

2. Post graduate programs

The Faculty of Basic Sciences participates in training 56 graduate programs including 21 specialist level I programs, 15 specialist level II programs, 09 residency programs and 11 master programs.

- National: 22 articles as first author; 12 articles as co-author

- International: 12 articles as first author; 14 articles as co-author

* Conferences/workshops: 01 seminar at institutional level; 02 seminars and 01 thematic activity at faculty level.

* Dissertation/thesis guidance: 03 master theses and 01 graduation thesis accomplished, 10 ongoing PhD and master theses

5.2. International affairs

            The faculty maintains a cooperative relationship in scientific research and teaching with a number of domestic and international partners. 01 member of the Department of Physics - Biophysics is working as a co-editor for a special issue of Coatings magazine (ISI, Q2, IF = 2.881).
