During the course,
the students had lectures on psychiatric disorders, cardiology, respiratory and
infectious diseases. All the lecturers were prestigious healthcare experts,
professors and clinicians from Indonesia. Thereby, the students could apply the
knowledge to clinical cases performed on Mannequin
Body Interact Stimulator.
The Body Interact
Stimulator is a new approach of clinical learning. By providing learners with
stimulations to practice problem-solving and clinical reasoning, the method is
promised to be very helpful to Medical students, doctors and pharmacists
without any risks of causing harms to the patients. In every stimulated
clinical case, this immersive training platform would analyze the learners’
diagnosis as well as their treatment strategy according to the standard
guidelines. After 5 days of learning and practicing, all of five students of
CTUMP’s delegation could perform successfully diagnosis and treatment on
stimulated clinical cased based on the standard guidelines.
Beside the classes,
CTUMP students were also guided to have a general tour at local hospitals,
pharmacies and notable cultural spots around Yogyakarta, Indonesia. UAD summer course
is a chance for the participants to not only expand their professional
knowledge but also provides them with a friendly studying environment to meet
up as well as exchange culture with international friends.
This is the first
