ETHNIC CULTURE FESTIVAL CELEBRATING THE TRADITIONAL NEW YEAR EVE’S CHOL CHNAM THMAY IN 2023 AND THE NEW YEAR FESTIVAL ACCORDING TO THE INDIAN’S TAMIL CALENDAR (TAMIL PUTHANDU)
The festival took place in a joyful, exciting, and closing atmosphere among ethnic groups as well as Indian students. The
Youth Union - Student Union of CTUMP successfully created a full-of-sentimentality festival which
seemed to be the second home for students to celebrate Tet holiday away from
home.
To warm up the joyful atmosphere of the festival, the event organizers
held interesting traditional folk games with bold Vietnamese nationalities such
as throwing balls into the basket, blindfolded beating piggy banks, etc. Moreover,
the music from the Acoustic Club contributed to the more and more exciting festival
atmosphere.

And the indispensable thing of the festival was the market of folk
foods from
all regions. Students can easily enjoy the specialties of the western provinces
without going through long distances. Through trading,
exchanging souvenirs, and introducing the homeland's cuisine, surely at that moment,
even though the students are far away from home, are partly relieved the
sadness of missing the international
students’ homeland.
