A MEDICAL STUDENT AT CAN THO UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY (CTUMP) WON THE SCHOLARSHIP FOR GLOBAL UNDERGRADUATE EXCHANGE PROGRAM (GLOBAL UGRAD), USA
[ Updated (09/12/2021) ]

Pham Dac Phu (Medical student Course 42 at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy) was excellently selected to participate in the 2020-2021 Global Undergraduate Exchange Program for Fall Academic Semester (from September 1 to December 23, 2021) at University of Minnesota, USA.

Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) was established in 1992 with funds allocated by the Congress of the United States. This program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and administered by World Learning.

The purpose of the scholarship promotes mutual understanding as well as the economic, social, and democratic development of Vietnam. Global UGRAD is a prestigious program that affords students the opportunity to share their culture and tradition with people in the United States. In addition, the Global UGRAD program is designed to expose students to the U.S. educational system, society, and culture.

Participating in the scholarship program, Pham Dac Phu will be supported with tuition fees, round-trip travel, and a small payment for living expenses in the United States.

With his efforts and perseverance, Pham Dac Phu turned his dream into reality, and has the chance to experience and exchange studies at the University of Minnesota according to The Global UGRAD scholarship. Hopefully, after completing this course, Pham Dac Phu will learn several novelties connect Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and the University of Minnesota as well as introduce and support other students to have the opportunity to participate in this program.
