Prof. Nguyen Van Lam – Vice Rector of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and leaders of faculties, supporting units and almost 200 students registered to attend the event.

Overview of the conference

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Trung Kien – Rector of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy delivered a speech of the closing ceremony of the conference. Over the past year, the University had implemented and promoted scientific research activities for teachers and students. Regarding graduate students in 2020, the University directed the Scientific Research and International Cooperation Office to preside over and cooperate with other units to rapidly conduct and implement graduate scientific research plans.

The conference had a total of 162 registered topics to report in the different conference halls, stretching over a variety of fields including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Odonto-Stomatology, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Traditional Medicine. All scientific research reports were followed circumstantial requirements, and the educational and training missions of the University. They were strictly conducted, in accordance with the reporting process, adhering to the preset format and meeting the scheduled plan. This scientific conference was a valuable opportunity to meet, exchange and share the research experience of faculty members with graduate students from medical institutes throughout the country.

After concluding the scientific research reports of students in the halls, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy hold the closing ceremony to summarize the scientific and technological activities of the University associated with the training program for graduate students in the period between 2018 – 2020 and the operational direction for the period 2021-2023. At the closing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. NGUYEN Thi Ngoc Van, Head of Scientific Research and International Cooperation Office, read the decision to award the most excellent report in each hall.
