THE INTERNSHIP COURSE OF THE DELEGATION FROM THE DEAKIN UNIVERSITY (AUSTRALIA) AT CAN THO UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY (From 03rd February to 21st February, 2020)

From February 3rd to February 21st 2020, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) welcomed a delegation from Deakin University, Australia coming to visit and cooperate with CTUMP. The delegation consisted of 14 members, among whom there were of 3 lecturers, 11 master students. CTUMP’s Psychiatry department was responsible for the delegation.


Deakin University is a public university in Victoria, Australia Established in 1974 with the passage of the Deakin University Act 1974. Deakin is one of Australia's fastest growing research universities. Since 2016, Deakin has been ranked in the top 2% of the world's universities in the Shanghai Ranking's Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), Times Higher Education and QS World University Rankings.

The delegation stayed in Vietnam for 3 weeks. During this period, they had visited and studied at Can Tho Psychiatric Hospital, they worked together with CTUMPs’ lecturers, some persons from internship facilities and gave support to build and develop programme of integration of children with disabilities into school community at Can Tho Disabled Children’s school.

After the closing ceremony,  Deakin master students were awared a certificate from CTUMP.
