THE EXTERNAL EVALUATION EXPERT DELEGATION ON EDUCATIONAL QUALITY CONDUCTED PRELIMINARY SURVEY ON 03 TRAINING PROGRAMS OF CAN THO UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY

On December 27th, a delegation of external evaluation experts, established by the Center for Education Quality Accreditation (VNU-CEA) - Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges (AVU&C), conducted preliminary survey on 03 undergraduate training programs (Medicine, Traditional Medicine, Pharmacology) at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP), to prepare for the official survey in education quality accreditation process by the Ministry of Education and Training.


Presenting at the preliminary survey of 03 training programs at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, were representatives from VNU-CEA – AVU&C has Assoc. Prof. PhD. NGUYEN Phuong Nga - Center Director; Prof. Dr. Sc. BANH Tien Long - Former Permanent Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education and Training, Leader of External Evaluation Team (EET); Assoc. Prof. PHAM Van Quyet - Senior Lecturer - University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University Hanoi (VNU), Secretary of External Evaluation Team; Mr. NGUYEN Anh Tuan – Chief of Center Office. From CTUMP, working with the group of External Evaluation Experts, has PhD. NGUYEN Minh Phuong - CTUMP Council President, Assoc. Prof. PhD. NGUYEN Trung Kien - Rector, Chairman of the Self-Evaluation Council (SEC); Prof. PhD. PHAM Van Linh - Chairman of the Council of Science and Training, Assoc. Prof. PhD. DAM Van Cuong - Vice Rector, Vice Chairman of the SEC; PhD. NGO Van Truyen – Head of the Faculty of Medicine, Vice Chairman of the SEC of Medicine and Traditional Medicine; Assoc. Prof. PhD. NGUYEN Xuan Chu - Head of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Vice Chairman of the SEC of Pharmacy; secretaries and members of the three SECs, specialized groups and representatives of organizations, faculties, rooms, centers, libraries, units of CTUMP, representative lecturers and students.

 

The main contents of this survey include:

1. Introduction to the composition of the EET and the purpose of the preliminary survey;

2. The EET reports on the results of the CTUMP's self-evaluation study, informs the official survey plan and requirements on facilities that CTUMP needs to prepare for the official survey;

3. Mutual agreement on issues that CTUMP needs to prepare: additional documents; the number and composition of respondents to be interviewed;

4. Mutual agreement on official survey schedule;

5. Mutual agreement on working principle;

6. Check some locations that CTUMP prepares for the official survey such as the office rooms for EET, the interview rooms, the hall for the Official Survey Opening Ceremony, etc.

7. Preliminary check of the related documents of CTUMP.

After the preliminary survey, the Director of the VNU-CEA – AVU&C, Leader of EET and the Rector of CTUMP signed a Post Survey Report of the External Evaluation Team.

The time for the official survey of the EET at CTUMP will start from January 4, 2021 and end on January 9, 2021.
