As an alumnus of Khon Kaen University, Dr. DO Thi Thao connected and invited lecturers to organize this course at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The Faculty representative of Khon Kaen University was Assoc. Prof. Sajee SATTAYUT, Head of Laser in Dentistry Research Group, Khon Kaen University. 

The course content includes 2 parts: theory and practice. The theory includes 4 modules: 1) Concept in laser dentistry, 2) Laser physics and Laser-tissue interaction 3) Laser safety, 4) Laser therapy in dentistry. In the practical part, the trainees were taught how to set up the dental laser clinic, using diode laser, CO₂ laser in cutting, biopsy and hemostasis on tissue samples. 

On November 25, 2020, an online certificate conferral was held and digital certificates were awarded to the course participants. Attending on the part of Khon Kaen University, Vice Rector, Prof. Monchai DUANGJINDA, Dean of Faculty of Dentistry - Assoc. Prof. Waranuch PITIPHAT, Assoc. Prof. Sajee SATTAYUT (Lecturer), Assoc. Prof. PhD. Suwadee AERARUNCHOT (lecturer). Attending as guest were Assoc. Prof. Patcharawan SRISILAPANAN, Dean of Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Thailand, Prof. Kovit KHAMPITHAK (The Parliament House of Thailand), Dr. Suwat TANYA. On the side of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Assoc. Prof. PhD. NGUYEN Van Lam – Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. TRUONG Nhut Khue - Head of Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology, Dr. LE Nguyen Lam - Deputy Head of Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology, Dr. DO Thi Thao, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology together with lecturers and postgraduate students attended the course. The trainees have completed the writing exam, oral exam and practical exam, so happy to receive the Certificates from of Khon Kaen University.

This course is a great opportunity for students and lecturers of the Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology to improve their qualifications and develop international cooperation in the period of integration and development in regional nations and universal nations. Representative of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Assoc. Prof. NGUYEN Van Lam had thanked Khon Kaen University for supporting and organizing this course without financial requirement to our university lecturers and students, asserted hope that our university and yours will continue to expand collaborative activities in the field of teaching and scientific research in the future.
