TRAINING ON SHARING EXPERIENCES IN TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETION FOR INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION OFFICE‘S COLLABORATORS, CAN THO UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY

On July 13rd, 2019, Scientific Research and International Cooperation Office, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, organized a training class about translation skills for collaborators of International Cooperation team. Training class was aimed to enhance the effectiveness of collaborators’ activities in supporting Department with assignments related to translation.


About rapporteur, Miss NGO Y Sa is an experienced professional interpreter who mainly works at lots of conferences both inbound and outbound, especially those belong to medicine or health science, takes responsibility on interpretation supports for academic foreign teams on their visit to Vietnam. The training session brought the students an overview of professional translation as well as introduced necessary skills which collaborators must improve if they are purposeful to get further in translation and interpretation. Specifically, it provided many useful tools which can assist collaborators in seeking and looking up terminology and definitions more easily and effectively throughout the sharing.

During the training session, the collaborators of International Cooperation team was very excited and accumulated useful experiences in the translation field, which will help a lot in improving their own skills as well as in supporting the operation of the Scientific Research and International Cooperation Office in upcoming activities which will takes place at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
