On June 7, 2018, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) welcomed Chulalongkorn University, Thailand at the Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy’s Hospital, Can Tho City, Vietnam.
Two lecturers of CTUMP include Dr. NGUYEN Tan Dat – Public Health Faculty and Dr. TRAN Thien Thang – Department of Psychiatry, Medicine Faculty appeared in the magazine edition in July – August/2018, volume 49, issue 4 of JAACAP.
The ASEAN PharmNET Conference, which takes place biennially, is an international conference of the ASEAN Pharmaceutical Research and Training Network. In 2019, The Third ASEAN PharmNET Conference will be organized in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The objective of the conference is to provide opportunities for researchers from ASEAN pharmaceutical training institutions to share and exchange experience on the progression of pharmaceutical research and education.
Based on the cooperation with Mahasarakham University, the Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) attended the 2nd International Health Sciences Conference from November 21 to November 23, 2018 at Mahasarakham University.
On October 5, 2018, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) discussed with Dr. Huynh Wynn Tran, Head of Wynn Medical Center and VietMD Organization, the U.S.A about collaborative plans for teaching Medical English for students, lecturers, and doctors at CTUMP. In addition, Dr. Wynn shared about the importance of good Medical English knowledge to the first-year students in medicine.
On March 21, 2018, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) welcomed representatives of Yaroslavl State Medical University (YSMU), Russia at Can Tho City, Vietnam.
All day of October 21st, 2018 at lecture room 1 of Medicine Faculty, training course for collaborators of international cooperation, Can Tho university of Medicine and Pharmacy was hosted.The course had been set up for a series of training activities gearing towards contributing a main core, proficient interpreter team with association of Can Tho Children and Youth supporting Center and General Administration Department of Can Tho university of Medicine and Pharmacy.
On September 25, 2018, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) and Prof. Daniel Dung Trương (The Parkinson and Movement Disorder Institute, California, U.S.A) held a workshop on “Movement disorder knowledge” for 150 lectures, doctors, and graduate students of Neurology, Rehabilitation, and Traditional medicine.
In framework of the educational exchange program, Central Queensland University (CQU), Australia visited, practiced and worked with Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP) from November 12 to November 23, 2018.
The CQU’s crew led by three lecturers: Jane Wardle, Michael Borg, Hazel Harries Jones included 18 students. They were introduced about the CTUMP’s hospital, practiced the techniques of diagnosis using ultrasound and X ray under the support and guidance of the Diagnostic Imaging Department from CTUMP. In addition, CTUMP also held a cultural and academic exchange meeting for students of the two universities.
